Show HN: Instantly Convert Markdown to PDF/HTML – No Setup Required md2file.com

In November2024, I built MD2FILE (https://md2file.com) – a Markdown editor and Markdown to PDF converter (two-in-one).

I do a lot of documentation, technical notes, and blog posts, and I wanted a tool that could help me edit Markdown easily and also convert Markdown to friendly formats like HTML or PDF for easy sharing with other people.

I searched online and while I was inspired by some of the greatest tools, I noticed most were a bit clunky and limited. Some were good but didn't allow users to try them for free before committing.

That inspired me to create MD2FILE, a Markdown Editor & Markdown to PDF converter with these features:

•GitHub-style markdown that just works •Live preview while you type (WYSIWYG) •Drop in math equations and charts super easily •Quick PDF/HTML export •Customize how your code looks

Some features I’m still working on include:

- Cloud sync – Connect to Google Drive, Dropbox, GitHub, and publish straight to Blogger or WordPress.

- Team mode – collaborate, merge changes smoothly, add inline comments just like in Google Docs.

- Offline writing

- Integrated comments like it works in Word or Google Docs.

To use the tool, users click on OPEN EDITOR at the top, paste their document in Markdown format, edit, and save (export it as HTML or PDF).

We are in public beta phase and still fine-tuning the tool to make it more user-friendly. It's the reason I affed the submit feedback button at the top (visible when someone opens the editor) to let users give suggestions for improvement. It's where I got inspiration for creating additional features mentioned above.

I would love your feedback on whether MD2FILE addresses your Markdown editing and conversion pain points.
