I'm not sure why DoJ should be concerned with Google's leadership position in AI and what Chrome has to do with it.
They're basically saying "Chrome makes us a lot of money, and we should keep making that much money since we're investing it in AI". Well, uh, how about you not be a monopoly and raise VC money instead like the rest of the market.

Google isn’t endangering privacy already? So they aren’t collecting an absolutely insane amount of data on all of us?
> As just one example, DOJ’s proposal would literally require us to install not one but two separate choice screens before you could access Google Search on a Pixel phone you bought. And the design of those choice screens would have to be approved by the Technical Committee. And that’s just a small part of it. We wish we were making this up.
Oh my god - two screens for choice? When I have to click through many choices on a new phone already? All to allow fair competition instead of unfair monopolies? The horror.
This unhinged defensive blog post is a dishonest embarrassment, and shows how detached from reality you have to be to defend the big tech hegemony. It makes a good case to keep breaking these companies up.
